This 20 week programme consists of 4 papers each worth 15 credits:
• Programming Fundamentals
• Interactive Digital Media
• Database Design & Management
• Technical Support & Security

Outcome

Graduates of this programme will have the skills and knowledge to advance in IT, ready for further study or entry-level IT roles at Tier 1. They will manage IT resources securely, enhance organisational processes, and create accessible digital media. Graduates will also apply software development principles, uphold professional standards, and solve IT problems effectively.

Entry Requirements

Applicants must be 17 years of age or over and will be eligible on the basis of meeting the requirements below


• NCEA Level 2 or Level 3 (with University Entrance); OR


• Provide evidence of secondary school achievement at an equivalent level; OR


• A qualification in Computing, Information Technology or Digital Technology at Level 3 or 4; OR

• An equivalent qualification in Computing, Information Technology or Digital Technology.

English Language Requirements

All applicants must demonstrate an acceptable level of English language proficiency prior to being accepted into the programme.
